The Canadian Rockies

Here are some Images from an all womens 3 day trail ride into the Sheep River Valley in the Canadian Rockies in Alberta. More to be posted on my website if I ever get over the post production slam. I was there photographing cowboy poet Doris Daley as part of the Cowboy Poet project I have been working on. The trip was organized and executed by the Anchor D Ranch. The experience was spectacular. The terrain was steep and challenging for a beginner rider like myself. We rode above the tree line and my horse Copper, slow as he was, climbed up like a trooper (well when he wasn’t trying to grab for grass which was every time I pulled out the camera.) In the evening at camp, we were entertained by Doris’s Poetry and by folk singer Janice Fleming.
