Equalipalooza

My friend Margot Duane organized Equalipalooza a benefit to defeat Proposition 8 which if passed will make same sex marriage illegal in the state of California. The event was headlined by comedian Margaret Cho. I caught the tail and of it and made a few frames.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

leave a comment »

Tens of thousands of people attended the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival concert, free and open to the public in Golden gate Park in San Francisco this past weekend. It is one of my favorite annual city events. We are so lucky. Warren Hellman, a wealthy investment banker funds the whole shindig each year bringing in the top names in bluegrassmusic and other talented musical acts.

To learn more about Warren Hellman and his wonderful gift to San Francisco, read the articles in the Chronicle. Hopefully Warren will be bankrolling this event for many years to come. Thank You Warren!
